Publisher's summary

Contains the complete Mars trilogy.

Book 1

NASA finally made it. The very first human has just set foot on the surface of our neighbor planet. This is the start of a long research expedition that sent four scientists into space. But the four astronauts of the NASA crew are not the only ones with this destination. The privately financed "Mars for Everyone" initiative has also targeted the Red Planet. Twenty men and women have been selected to live there and establish the first extraterrestrial settlement.

No one anticipates the impending catastrophe that threatens their very existence, not to mention the daily hurdles that an extended stay on an alien planet sets before them. On Mars, a struggle begins for limited resources, human cooperation, and just plain survival.

Book 2

A woman presumed dead fights her way through the hostile deserts of Mars. With her help, the NASA astronauts orphaned on the Red Planet hope to be able to solve their very worst problem. But their hopes are shattered when an unexpected menace arises and threatens to destroy everything the remnant of humanity has built on the planet. They need a miracle - or a ghost from the past whose true intentions are unknown.

Book 3

Does the secret of Mars lurk beneath the surface of its south pole? A lone astronaut searches for clues about the earlier inhabitants of the Red Planet. Meanwhile, Rick Summers, having assumed the office of Mars City's Administrator by deceit and manipulation, tries to unify the people on Mars with the weapons under his control. Then, Summers stumbles upon so powerful an evil that even he has no means to overcome it.

Good story

Good story. Not the most realistic, but enough twists and turns to keep you interested. I give it an 8.5 out of 10. Worth a listen!

Worth a listen.

The first book got me hooked. Great pace and a very interesting story. The second book was just dragging along with a bunch of unneeded dialog. The third book was great but felt rushed at the end.

Great listen!

Loved all three books. We thought the very ending was weak. It could have ended a few minutes earlier.

Enjoyable

Great story. So vivid I could imagine myself there. However I felt there were some loose ends left untied at the end that I was looking forward to seeing resolved before the end.

Nevertheless it was a wonderful story.

Very Solid!

Slow start, and it doesn't come together until book 3. Some of the motivations of the characters are characters are hard to understand.

Some of the behaviors are not really believable, comma and the characters exhibit moral confusion add decisions that wouldn't cause Very much moral consternation for for most humans. For other characters, they're behaviors your behaviors are sociopathic But also non rational... So you have a highly rational logical person at the individual individual decision making level, but a non rational person as a higher, longer range decision maker

The conclusion is the best part, and it wrapped too soon. I am more interested in the 4th and 5th bookThen I am in the 1st 2 books... So it's unfortunate that this storyline has ended

Solid Sci-Fi Drama

Overall story is good. Enough drama to keep things interesting. Ending seemed a little anticlimactic. Assumed author had to meet a deadline. Hope there is a second trilogy in the works soon.

Interesting Story

I liked this story, but some characters just appeared and I went back in the story to confirm that I didn’t miss anything.

Just not feeling it

Not fond of mysterious or faulty technology happening and focusing too much on a backstabbing storyline. Didn't get halfway before removing it from my library.

I wish there were more

My only complaint is that the resolution of one character arch seemed rushed. While I agreed with the choices, I feel like it could have been explained a little more - like "Whatshisface all of a sudden stopped being such a jerk because he was secretly into being dominated the whole time, and now his new mistress wouldn't put up with that crap." That'll make more sense when you finish the series - and I totally recommend you do. I really liked this series.

Inconsistency

Meandering story. No big punch. Needed less wokeness. Character development needs work. Great idea for a story but takes turns that reach to far.
