Publisher's summary

Earth, wind, water, fire, life, death, mind control...

What if you had one magical power and one power only: the ability to use all other forms of magic?

The catch is, you need to level each and every one of them up first.

What would you do?

could be much better

Joshua has a Stupid hero complex, soo dumb in the worse time. No Normal adult office worker has a serious hero complex, it's not in human nature unless your a child.
the power he has is godly, but mono logs waaay too much. He's not relatable at all, with no self pride. They way he gets the women is fake with He's personally. This book could be sooo much better without He's selfless hero fantasy ideals.

its..... ok

Author Task:
"Show, Don't Tell"

Result:
Task failed. Average of 2 pages of MC side thoughts to one page of story.

What story there was, I found to be entertaining.

Too much side track.

The MC gets side tracked/ distracted way too easily. What was more infuriating was that the MC would go off on a tangent in the middle of a fight scene. Narrator could be quite a bit smoother in his performance. The story felt jerky with the awkward stops in the storyline.

Spent most of book listening to theories

Main character spends way too much time in his own head. Little actually happened in the book and some hell he can use all magic with a snap of his fingers pretty much no practice required

ummm

this book wants to be good but it had a writer who needs to get laid and stop putting his harem fantasy into books don't get me wrong I'm ok with adult themes but if I wanted to read a porn book audible has a section for that no women acts like the women in this book it's like being put in the brain of a 16 year old "nice guy" with behavioral issues but I like the readers voice but that's literally all I can give this book

Dude...I almost didn't make it

Here's the thing, good story, great snu snu. Now I've listened to a number of Simon Archer books now and like them in general and as a whole. I got this book because of his good record with me, but. Dear sweet mother of god, sister Mary and Joseph! The freakin talkin and inner monolog WHILE IN COMBAT that went on kept cutting the flow of the story. Seriously, almost had to stop the book and leave it behind. Sort your story, when there's action, keep the action. When self reflecting and analyzing be somewhere doing something that doesn't leave the reader asking "did he stop time", or are they just waiting for him to finish like a anime transformation scene.

took a while

the book took until about halfway through for the mc ti start exploring. it also felt like there was a little to much dialogue in some places I got bored of it could have used a bit more action

not what i was expecting

I was expecting a typical lit rpg action adventure. What I found was 50 shades of grey in an action adventure setting.
