Publisher's summary
Three couples. Three houses. One home to die for....
Stacey and Felix are the glamorous owners of the stylish, modern Glass House, with its pool and floor-to-ceiling windows. Now they’re downsizing, but Stacey can’t sell to just anyone. She needs the right buyer, who will keep her secrets.
Millie and Tom have always imagined living in the Glass House. Now it’s for sale. With property prices booming, if they can sell quickly, it could be theirs. But is the house and its charming owners all they seem?
Harper and Kyle are moving up in the world. They need a new house, in the right school district, to give their children the start in life they never had. Millie and Tom’s is perfect. It’ll take every penny they have, and more, but it’ll be worth it. Won’t it?
When one of the sales falls through, how far will someone go to get everything they’ve always wanted?
A totally addictive and absolutely gripping psychological thriller with a killer twist you won’t see coming. Fans of The Family Upstairs, Our House and The Couple Next Door will be hooked from the very first word.

One year ago, Isabelle Drake's life changed forever: her toddler son, Mason, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room. With little evidence and few leads for the police to chase, the case quickly went cold. However, Isabelle cannot rest until Mason is returned to her—literally. Except for the occasional catnap or small blackout where she loses track of time, she hasn’t slept in a year. Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred. It’s now 1983, and home-health aide Kit McDeere arrives at a decaying Hope’s End to care for Lenora after her previous nurse fled in the middle of the night.

Jane Campbell avoids confrontation at all costs. Given the choice, she'll always let her husband, Leon, a best-selling thriller author, fight their battles. She'd prefer to focus on the good things in life: precious days with her two young children, a steady and loving marriage, their mischievously playful cat Bonita, and her fulfilling job as a creative-writing teacher. In Jane's eyes, life is altogether sweeter than any individual bump in the road. But when Leon suffers a brutal attack, Jane has to finally face reality.

Speechless!
I would never have guessed at the beginning of this book how it would end. Twisted. Shocking. Disturbing. But I couldn’t stop listening! Initially I found none of the characters likable but they were all so compelling. This “who done it” kept me guessing until the end. And in the end it raises lots of philosophical questions…would you tell or wouldn’t you?
The narrator was amazing! Gave just the right inflection to make each character distinction.
This is the second book I’ve read by Tess Stimson and she is an incredible story teller. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Slow start but worth the rewind
Well written. I love the twists as the story was built. I admit I was distracted for most of the beginning as I didn’t get the desire of the house as it related to Mille’s past. I did figure it all out but the story still gave me twists I didn’t see coming.

That was one of the BEST books I’ve ever heard
Oh my God that was FANTASTIC! I am a voracious reader and listener, and this one just blew me away. You HAVE to listen to this one! The narration was great too!

It’s January and this might be my fav book of the year!
Oh my word! Download now, your hesitation is unneeded. The characters are well thought through and well presented. The story twists more then a snake with seizures. I audibly gasped and said “what the hell” no less than 5 times. My only issue with the book is that it’s over!

Great read!
Narrator did a great job with all the different voices!
Story was good, kept me engaged, but was a little predictable. Loved it though and if I could give it 4.5 stars, I would.

Phenomenal
JUST AMAZING! This story absolutely blew me away. I listen to psychological, thrillers a lot and pride myself on being able to call the ending. However, this book kept me guessing the entire time. Twists and turns that I did not see coming at all kept me guessing, until even the very last chapter! Absolutely 10 out of 10 recommend if you’re looking for a great psychological thriller!

Absolutely amazing!!!
I rarely leave reviews. I was obsessed. It kept me entertained the whole time. From beginning to end I had no idea how it was going to end (and that is rare!). I loved it.

Kept me guessing!
Loved this book, all the twists and turns! Originally I just bought to listen in car on way to work but then start listening at home as well. I couldn’t wait to hear the outcome
