There is a very large body of literature on judicial accountability, focused on its essence, role, forms, and methods. By looking at the literature on judicial accountability in England and Wales as well as in cognate jurisdictions, the presentation will attempt to demonstrate how the concept of judicial accountability can be understood in the digital age. Based on the findings from the reviewed literature, the presentation will also seek to identify the particular challenges/opportunities digitalisation poses/creates for the justice sector in the context of ensuring judicial accountability.
