Welcome to the College of Coastal Georgia!

On behalf of the entire campus, I welcome you to the College of Coastal Georgia. Coastal is a leader in higher education, transforming lives through engaged learning…every student, every time.

Whether you are embarking on your collegiate journey for the first time or returning to pursue further academic endeavors, know that you are an integral part of our Mariner community. Our faculty and staff stand ready to support you as you navigate the diverse educational pathways that our college offers.

The College is growing, and this is a wonderful time to be joining this community. From our nationally ranked nursing program to the groundbreaking of our new Center for the Arts, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our students and our region. Our academic landscape is vibrant, with programs like Criminal Justice, taught by current and former instructors from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC, Glynco), setting the standard for excellence. And like our Environmental Science and Coastal Ecology Programs where you work with faculty at the beach, in the marshes and rivers, and even the Okefenokee Swamp as you study nature.

Athletics at Coastal Georgia continue to soar to new heights, with our Mariner teams consistently ranked nationally and in The Sun Conference. Our commitment to holistic student development is reflected in our thriving student life, marked by state-of-the-art residence halls and many student organizations that foster community and engagement.

As Mariners, we are united by a shared commitment to your success. We are here to guide you as you explore your passions, discover your purpose, and forge lasting connections that will support you on your journey.

The College of Coastal Georgia is your place of discovery, filled with boundless opportunities that await you. I look forward to meeting you on campus and witnessing the remarkable contributions you will make to the College of Coastal Georgia.

Sincerely,

Johnny L. Evans Jr., Ph.D
