2024 Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene was a large, deadly, catastrophic, and fast-moving tropical cyclone. It was the strongest on record to strike the Big Bend region of Florida and it devastated parts of the Southeastern United States. It was the eighth named storm, fifth hurricane, and second major hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. (wikipedia.org)

My Community Explorer (MCE) is a map-based dashboard that provides selected demographic, business, and resilience information to help users identify potentially underserved areas of their state, counties, and communities. MCE also allows users to see the relationship of underserved communities to current natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, air quality, extreme heat, and other severe weather events.
