Chrissy Sexton grew up in East Tennessee in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. At a very young age, she developed an appreciation for nature and a deep connection with the environment.

Joining the team at Earth.com seven years ago, Chrissy is grateful to fulfill a sense of responsibility to help protect the natural world.

To date, Chrissy has published hundreds of articles on some of the greatest environmental challenges of our lifetime including climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss.

Some of the world’s leading research institutions have referenced her work, including The Smithsonian, Stanford University, the University of Arizona, and the University of California Riverside. Chrissy enjoys traveling, hiking, and nature photography. She especially enjoys weekend adventures with her son.
