      Loving God - Not Tradition

      Though a good friend gave this book to me, I would have paid twice the cover price ($9.99, I think). David Bercot is thorough, yet concise, firm, yet respectful and above all else - scriptural. This is a wonderful treatise and the author has obviously done his homework. I guess what I appreciated most, however, is his gentleness in presenting this "revolutionary" thought of returning to New Testament practices in worship and community. I am currently reading another book on the same topic, but this other author seems to have an axe to grind. This is unfortunate due to the sensitive nature of the topic. David Bercot, in keeping with the instructions of the Apostle Peter (1 Peter 3:15, 16), presents his information in a respectful, gentle, simple and easy to read manner. I appreciate ...

      A Great History Primer for Students of Church History

      If you don't have time to sort through dozens of old books on church history but you would like to learn more about it this book is for you. David Bercot has done the research for you. Find out what early Christians believed. This book is rather fascinating and challenging at the same time. This book will show you what the early Christians believed and how they lived. Bercot challenges the reader to simply believe what the Bible says and then live it. This is a very interesting book and it is an easy read.
