Zach, following your outstanding 2017 season, are you now able to stand back, soak it up a little and appreciate just how good a year it’s been?

“It feels great to be able to look back at such an incredible season. To me it felt like all the struggle finally came to fruition. For many people, winning races or a title would make them feel elated, super happy, but for me this year brought a huge feeling of relief more than anything else. Securing not just one but two championships in one season is a great reward for all the hard work I’ve been putting in for more than a decade now. It also gives me some extra motivation to keep working hard and keep moving forward.”

Was it simply a matter of experience or the ability to better handle pressure that allowed you to step to the very top of US competition?

“I’d say it was a combination of both these factors. The places I’ve been since I took the decision to relocate to Europe and change my life back in 2008 have obviously helped me be able
