The Myth protein

Controversy has been raging amongst the scientific community and the popular media as to which of the nutrients are responsible for our current obesity crisis and epidemic levels of heart disease and diabetes.

On one side, some place the blame squarely on carbohydrates and sugar, and advocate cutting these from one’s diet in order to prevent heart disease and diabetes and stem the tide of obesity. Others vehemently disagree and propose that in fact, fat is the cause of our current poor health status and that by simply decreasing fat intake, we can successfully improve the health status of the population.
