Trailer (sailor) fanatic
I’ve been an avid reader of your magazine for some years. I read through at least twice and drive my partner mad because I won’t get rid of the back issues before the eagerly awaited new month’s copy lands on my door mat. They make a great shabby-chic bedside table!
However, I feel I must bring my grievance to your attention. For the last few months you’ve been extolling the virtues of trailer-sailers – truly, a fantastic way to get into boating – but in my humble opinion you have overlooked the best all-round dinghy-to-proper-boat upgrade for the novice sailor of all time: the Julian Everitt-designed E Boat.
I must admit it doesn’t have the headroom of other trailer-sailers, and it is a bit on the wide side for some country roads (it tends to scare the locals!).
However, it has all the most important things a trailer-sailer requires, namely:
• A fully retractable easy-to-operate winched keel
