Based on the Marvel comic book character, which was first seen in Spider-Man 3, Sony Pictures has made it clear that Venom will play no part in the Spider-Man universe and the film will stand on its own. We are down with that. Look, any movie that has the graphic eccentricity of Venom, a henchman being played by Woody Harrelson and a love interest with Michelle Williams…oh yeah, and did we forget Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom!? This is gonna be one of those great “dark” anti-hero superhero flix…we hope!
