ell, this wasn’t something I ever intended to do at the outset, but was a gradual conviction. I always wanted to eventually record the major works and had at least a third of his Op 35, which was actually something my producer persuaded me to do initially, it gradually occurred to me that if anyone were to make a complete recording of Alkan’s piano works, I should be the one to do it.
