SURVEYS

A survey is a research tool used to acquire information from individuals. It’s helpful in finding out factual information, views, experiences, habits and other self-reported behaviour. Although surveys are usually associated with nonfiction, fiction writers can also benefit from the technique: for instance, asking your beta readers to comment on your writing anonymously is likely to result in more honest feedback than if you asked the same questions face-to-face.
