I returned to Florence ten years after I had visited with a group for my friend’s wedding. Attending a yoga retreat on my own this time, I was dropped off by Ponte Vecchio, the busiest tourist spot where everyone seemed to be enjoying the sights with someone else. Though I was happy to be here again with the sun shining, I felt lonely, with no one
