The Transcon Itch

Multi-week journeys are all about the itch. You have two options: scratch it with little thought for temporary relief or think intentionally about addressing it.

I’m convinced that short of a NASA rocket launch, making a multi-week running journey happen seems like the tallest order there is in life. Or so it seems. The question I get the most is, “How did you get away with going on two 40-100-day transcontinental runs in your late 20s and early 30s?” The best way to answer a direct question is to backtrack a bit and get philosophical.
