Jumping into the shower I let the water run down my face whilst I lathered shower gel in my hands.
I felt something hard, roughly the size of a 5p, above the nipple on my left breast.
I quickly finished my normal shower routine, rushing out of the bathroom to grab my phone.
I booked an appointment with my GP.
I had just turned 28 and was terrified at the thought of having cancer.
They took a biopsy and I waited anxiously for the results, but they showed the lump to be of no concern, it was benign.
