I first read this quote a good three years ago, and the message immediately resonated with me.
I may not be 50 years of age, but the welfare of the ecosystem I love and the wonderful fauna and flora we are blessed with mean a great deal to me - it would be a very sad day if I had to train and run my beloved Pointers on pen-raised birds.
Too many hunters today adhere to the, “If it flies, it dies” maxim, the “Fill the bag at all costs” approach”. It disrespects the nature we as hunters should be preserving - all the more than do the so-called (and very vocal) bunny-huggers.
Without a sustainable and responsible attitude, we could be forced to take to the clay range a whole lot more... Then again, is that such a bad thing?
