As a child, I was fascinated with my dad’s friend Dave’s garden shed.

It was at the bottom of his back yard and Dave called it his ‘man cave’. Of course, it was strictly out of bounds to me.

After dinner Dad and Dave would retire down to his shed together, joking that they were ‘going to Jerusalem.’

I was desperate to see what was inside, and when I was 11, I finally got my wish.

‘I think it’s time for Carl to know about Jerusalem,’ said Dave one night after dinner.

It was just a humble old tool shed, but stepping inside, my eyes grew wide as I saw that it had a beer fridge in the corner and girly calendars hanging
