THE RUNAWAY PANCAKE

“Mummy, I’m starving!” said one.

“My stomach is a big empty hole!” said another.

“If I don’t get food, I might die!” said a third.

Mother sighed and looked in the pantry.
She had plenty of eggs, milk and flour.

“If I make you some pancakes with honey, will you be quiet?” she asked.

The children said they would! They watched eagerly as she mixed the eggs
