Pirates
WHEN you hear the word “pirates”, you probably think of bold, daring adventurers having escapades at sea while looking for buried treasure. While some of this is true, the idea we have of pirates is mostly romanticised and exaggerated and comes from stories, not real life.
Pirates have been around since ancient times and are criminals who use their ships to attack another vessel and rob it or take hostages for ransom.
They don’t discriminate when it comes to their victims – any nationality, age or gender can become a target.
