irst, the basics: once the sun sets, the light across the entire world is set to level 4, which means that hostile mobs can suddenly spawn anywhere on the surface of the Overworld. A full day-night cycle runs for 20 minutes in Minecraft. Daytime lasts for 10 minutes, bookended by 90 seconds of sunset and sunrise, and 7 minutes of darkness. Mobs can spawn for about 8 minutes of every night. Undead mobs (excluding husks and mobs wearing a helmet) will start to burn in direct sunlight only when
