‘My fundraising was inspired by my late friend’
LINNY TILLMAN 46, from Manchester, has completed two marathons for a charity.
‘I was first inspired to run a marathon by my friend, Claire, who died from bile duct cancer in her mid-30s. I had run the Manchester half-marathon for her charity AMMF [the Cholangiocarcinoma charity], when she was ill and she was involved in lots of fundraising herself. That struck me as incredible given her terminal diagnosis, and was the catalyst for me taking on my first marathon, also for AMMF.
