1. Taking the tiger line

Sometimes you’ll need to weigh up the wisdom or otherwise of an aggressive line off the tee in the hope of finding a shorter route

Use the whole tee

When facing a choice such as this, it’s always worth using the width of the tee to find the angle needed for the shot you’re thinking of. If you’re a fader, you’d be better off using the right side here, whereas drawers might want to tee up further left.

Let your shot shape dictate whether or not you take the tiger line. Try to visualise the flight required and if you don’t feel comfortable, take the safer line.
