Good to have you back in the mag, Ambrose! How's home life? I know you've recently bought a house and got engaged. Grown-up stuff.
Yeah, I just turned 30. I'm feeling some stability. It's nice to come home and feel more comfortable, not having to worry about subletting and shit like that. I've kinda scraped by in the past, so it's been a long road to having some success. This year's been a lot of post-pandemic catching up. That will be Gizz done for the year, and then The Murlocs are touring The States through November.
You've got a lot of big shows coming up, including a few marathon three-hour sets.
There's a lot to think about. The October run will be some big club shows, and three marathon sets at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The last one I'm getting pretty scared about. I have to do a 40-minute set with The Murlocs, then I get about an hour to lie down and hydrate to then do three hours with Gizzard.
It must require so much energy to focus for that long.
