Most of what gardeners want to know can be found on YouTube, so picking the ideal book to give for Christmas becomes a case of looking for something out of the ordinary.

Cluitmans is a curator at the Centraal Museum in the Netherlands. You never know what you’re going to find on the white pages: Guerrilla Gardens, Chthulucene (have a guess), Vibrant Matter. On the blue pages, there are op-eds, sometimes oblique; ‘staying with the trouble’ isn’t what happens in gardens, surely… they’re zones of peace.
