How do you start your day?

I am a morning person through and through. I love getting up early when the world is still and quiet. My mornings are a sacred time where I can relax and mentally prepare myself for the day ahead (which, when you’re working in medicine can be extremely unpredictable, overwhelming and stressful). So if it means I have to get up half an hour earlier just to make sure I get that “me” time, I’ll happily do it.

How has ambition shaped who you are today?

I’ve always wanted to create an impact in the lives of others. This is part of the reason I went into medicine and the reason I’m so active on social media.

My family moved to Australia when I was seven. This was a huge shift for us. We were quite well off in my home country, but my parents chose to move to Australia in hope for a better education and opportunity for their children. This meant the cost of living was much higher, we had no contacts or friends and my parents had to start their careers from scratch.
