After three years of silence, the Falkon development team has rolled out the 3.2 release of the web browser. Even though it’s just another point release, we were keen to take it for a thorough test drive, and here’s why…

For years has been one of the most capable and stable members in the group of second-tier browsers. It’s perhaps the most useful if we narrow down our scope to Qt-based browsers only (sorry !). is essentially a front-end to QtWebEngine, a Qt-backed shared component that provides a repacked rendering engine for various Qtand KDE-related programs. The release notes on the latest version of state it’s based on – not the cutting-edge version, but still a recent one. At least it saves us from most problems caused by websites that may refuse to work with older browsers.
