Will differing beliefs come between us?
Q About six months ago, I met a woman who is everything I want in a partner. The only issue is that I am an atheist, while she is deeply religious – she says her relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in her life. As insensitive or selfish as this may sound, I don’t want to come second to Jesus. She has invited me to attend church with her and I’ve made up excuses not to go each time. Can it really work out between us?
If the question here is about whether long-term relationships can work out between people who hold different religious beliefs, my. But this has to come with both a profound respect for one another’s beliefs, and honesty about your identities.
