A Polish Jew's diary, 1943

On Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January, we remember the attempt by the Nazi regime and its collaborators to murder all of European Jewry during the Second World War. Many of us have relations who were killed, or came to Britain as refugees. The scale of the tragedy is hard to fathom, but the voices of the victims can help us to gain some understanding of the true dimension of the crime.

The National Holocaust Centre and Museum (NHCM) is located in Laxton, Nottinghamshire, and makes the memory of the Holocaust relevant for today through exhibitions
