Buying a firearm in South Africa can be a daunting task for the uninitiated. With numerous changes in place since the Firearms Control Act (FCA) 60/2000, and the requirement for new training and screening, the process may seem complicated. It has certainly deterred many a firearm owner from renewing their licences due to the hoops that must be jumped through.
