To be a pilgrim again

T’S well known that when ‘Aprille with his shoures soote, the droghte of March hath perced to the roote… thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages’. So it was in Chaucer’s day and it is getting that way again. Folk just can’t help it. They longen. The itch develops and pilgrimage is the cure. It’s already May and you’re probably on one yourself.
