UNICORNS 15

OUT 5 JULY CINEMAS

Following swiftly on the heels, this is another contemporary British drama focusing on a queer, cross-cultural love story. Twentysomething Luke (Ben Hardy) is an Essex garage mechanic and single father who develops feelings for British Indian drag queen Aysha (Jason Patel), a nightclub performer in the underground ‘gaysian’ scene and the son of observant Muslim parents. Co-directed by Sally El Hosaini () and James Krishna Floyd, is simultaneously gritty and romantic, and notable for its affecting lead performances.
