Surfing the waves of emotion

PHIL SLADE MIND GAMES

Sitting on Kings Beach at Caloundra in Queensland on a beautiful morning is, to me, one of the simple joys in life. The other day when the surf was particularly large, I noticed a swimmer struggling to navigate the crushing waves and a surfer delighting in the incoming swell. One was being pummelled by nature while the other was harnessing it. It struck me as an interesting metaphor for navigating life after the loss of a business.

As acomes from being able to see a clear end to what had been a stressful few months leading up to this point. Their once thriving business, through no direct fault of their own, was done.
