IT'S A LOVE STORY
o you remember July 2020? Restrictions and empty airports. I, on the other hand, was getting to know a girl with whom I had taken on the challenge of doing 25 push-ups a day for 25 days. She lived in Italy and I lived in London. She had already come to meet me in person and now it was my turn to visit her. My flight was leaving from Luton Airport and I found myself at the entrance to the totally empty security check. With my mask on and gloves at the ready, I prepared to drop to the floor and complete my challenge for that day. The scene was surreal: a deserted airport, an almost sacred silence, and me, in the middle of that emptiness, doing push-ups with only my thoughts and determination for company. It was a totally unique moment, an instance of strength and challenge in a place where chaos usually reigns. I don’t think I’ll ever experience anything like it again.
