REAL LIFE, great stories

Creative non-fiction – using techniques of fiction to write about real life in effective and compelling ways – can take many forms and this month we’re looking at the most creative end of the spectrum, where parts of the story are true, but not all.

Autofiction, autobiographical novels, semiautobiographical novels, non-fiction novels… there are lots of variations but no fixed or precise definitions, which is perhaps appropriate for an area of writing that completely mixes fact and fiction.
