A wonderful journey through the human skeleton.
Not for the faint hearted, at times a little grisly, but told not to shock but to educate and inspire.
Sue Black reads her own words wonderfully and naturally, I really loved listening to her.
If you haven’t read A Life in Death, maybe read that first, she references it a couple of times.
This woman is an inspiration; thoughtful, compassionate and utterly dedicated to the world of forensic anthropology, I am in awe.

I truly enjoy Ms. Blacks manner of storytelling and found this book to be entertaining and instructional at the same time. Oh, if only there were enough years left in my life, I would pursue a similar study of forensics. I find it fascinating!

Good book, and doesn't dumb anything down. She's a straightforward writer who just tells it how it is, and expects you to keep up! Very technical break down of the body and how all the strange wonderful bones inside are used in crime investigation. Slight warning about chapter 12, as she shares some very personal trauma that happened when she was quite young. It is in theme of the book, but it still took me a bit by surprise as it was a switch from her work to her own life. Overall it is a good listen, but very graphic.
