What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a great and insightful book regarding the psychedelic experience and Tibetan Buddhism. It provides a good introduction to the text and offers practical tips for maintaining the 'clear light' state. While there are some disappointing sections and an overemphasis on ego dissolution, overall it is a wonderful guide for those in search of understanding the workings behind the veil."
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Though admittedly I have mixed opinions about Leary (especially with regards to scientific process) and indeed the book had disappointing sections. Overall, especially when familiar with the "clear light" state, I found the book gives good practical tips that promise to maintain it longer.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a very interesting guide for those in search of understanding.
It confirms my personal travels.
I had one experience of coming out of the first bardo.
Also several times I went into the second bardo and came out into the light.
It is very interesting to talk to someone who has had experiences of this level. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There's a good introduction to the text that is fairly critical, and I think it's good to start off with that context. Mostly an over emphasis on ego dissolution, and some of the attempts to relate the psychedelic experience to bardo states is an overreach.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great and insightful book regarding the psychedelic experience Tibetan Buddhism
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A wonderful guide through the workings of what is behind the veil.
