What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a good introduction to H.P. Lovecraft's work. They appreciate the diary format and how it helps them understand references in movies and videogames. The horror essence is well captured in this beautifully narrated story. Some readers are highly impressed with the author's writing skills. However, there is a minor complaint about the mispronunciation of the titular town's name. Overall, readers enjoy the varied voice work and atmospheric storytelling, making this their favorite Lovecraft story so far.
