To make the Crewel Embroidery Welcome Sampler, you will need:
* a size 8 embroidery needle, the sharp kind for piercing fabric
* a piece of approximately 9-inch (30 cm) square non-stretchy, woven cotton fabric (since it's easiest to work with) that has already been washed and ironed
* a pencil
* the pattern printed on a thin, white piece of paper
* a 6-inch (15 cm) embroidery hoop
* embroidery floss (see the color suggestions below)
* a ruler
* a pair of scissors
* finishing supplies
Please take the time to wash and iron the fabric and prepare the threads before you start.
