About this ebook

Teach yourself to relax and breathe correctly when you know that you’re going to be in a situation that could trigger off blushing. When you’re in control of your feelings you will not think about blushing, and if you do blush a little, remember that most people don’t even notice or even care about it.

Remember all the skills you learned from early childhood, some things seemed like you would never be able to master them, but you did in the end because you were persistent. Training yourself not to be so shy will also take persistence, but you will be well rewarded by feeling the exhilaration of being able to face strangers with self confidence, knowing that you no longer fear blushing in public.

    The Blushing Phobia - Erythrophobia

The definition of a phobia is defined in the dictionary as a morbid fear or aversion to something specific. This irrational fear or dread of something can manifest its self in various ways; usually a person will experience some sort of a panic attack, depending on the level of fear, which affects their breathing and heart rate. In severe cases of fear the heart rate can increase to the point where the sufferer literally begins to choke from fear. They will begin to sweat profusely and become irrational, but have no control over their fear.

People who have phobias often begin to get panic attacks just at the thought of confronting the object of their fear, without actually experiencing it. For example, if someone has an irrational fear of heights and just thinks about standing on a high cliff or bridge somewhere, the palms of their hands will begin to sweat or their heart rate will go up as the feeling of panic begins to take possession of them.

It is strange how people can experience irrational fears to any sort of experience and environment under the sun. Phobias range from the fear of bugs and reptiles, to confined spaces and heights, talking to strangers, flying and many others. It
