    About this book

When I first started as an event planner, I researched the materials available to find a book that would provide me with practical and insightful information regarding the process of creating, developing, and orchestrating a wedding. To date, I have still had not found such a book, thus I wrote this one from my perspective.

My background in project management has assisted me in providing successful weddings through utilizing the steps of determining a budget, creating a structure, developing contingencies, developing tools for processing and evaluating outcomes. I will guide my readers through these academic steps as I write/speak through the various subjects.

I may use different language throughout this book in reference to the couple getting married. I may use bride, groom, and couple, as well as some other words in my stories. I know that I am speaking to both hetro and homosexual couples, so don’t take offense.

I love working with couples! I love infusing their personalities into their special day. I respect their choices and although I may question some of those choices, with ones that I think would work in a better way, I always understand it is their wedding. I do not accept payment from any vendor to utilize their service(s) – I think it is wrong to direct a couple to use a specific vendor or product because they are paying in some way.

This book is the one in a series. I created them this way because some brides are further along in their plan than others and they may not want to reference some subject matter they have already accomplished. I do suggest, however, it is always good to start at the beginning; maybe you can pick up a pearl of wisdom or two along the way.

Enjoy reading and if you have any specific questions you want to ask me, please visit my website at www.j-angelo.com and send me your questions via email. I’d love to hear from you!

    Let’s get started.
