      Introduction

      Making jewellery is so much more than enjoyable. It is a stimulating way to express your creativity. You can create your own unique handmade beautiful pieces of jewelry using all manner of materials, not only will the pieces be beautiful they will also be incredibly special because you made them.

      The whole experience from start to finish can be very relaxing, from finding the actual materials to seeing which of your designs will work and then forming the patterns and mixing and matching the colors, textures and sizes until you have built your entire unique design.

      When you begin jewelry making and have mastered some simple designs it will not be long before you feel confident enough to start pushing yourself to create more intricate and detailed pieces. With the best thing being that if you don’t like a particular piece you can simply take it apart and start all over again whilst all the time learning what looks right and what should be matched etc.

      It is only expected that once you have mastered the art of jewelry making you will want to share your designs and this is where your jewelry making skills come into their own as you can make spectacular presents for friends and family. Better still if you have been looking for a cost effective home based business you will immediately realize that you have found one with this new found creative skill.

      Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn the art of jewelry making one thing is guaranteed and this is that when you master the art you will have endless opportunities to create your own stunning designs.       Chapter 1 – Jewelry Making

      Jewelry making is rewarding, creative and a great way to spend your time. But, what is it that makes people decide to start making jewelry? The most fulfilling reason to make your own jewelry really has to be for personal enjoyment. When anyone pours their artistic ability into a new project it can be immensely satisfying, however this style of creativity also has a practical side as the product of your labor is something far more intricate with the only limit being your imagination. Other reasons for creating your own jewelry may include:

      You can create one off pieces that no one else has

      You can make beautiful gifts for friends and family

      You can start your own low cost, home based business

      Do you need a dedicated workspace?

      This actual decision lies with you, however dedicating a particular area to make your jewelry offers a number of benefits, such as:

      You create the atmosphere and control the noise levels

      You are in control of the level of lighting, if you are sharing your space with someone else your required lighting may not take priority

      You are in control of what you achieve, if you have people around you this may be a distraction however with no distractions it is up to you what you can get done

      You are able to leave work in progress out rather than having to pack it up and get it back out whenever you wish to work

      You can make the dedicated space work for you

      As you can see from the few reasons above having a separate space for your jewelry making is very advantageous however if this is not possible then you should not use this as an excuse not to get started.
