Twirlybirch Lands in Double Trouble

About this ebook
The Twirlybirch family decide on a well-deserved holiday from their umbrella-floating business. While visiting a water park in Victoria, a beautiful girl introduces herself to young Beauregard. The Middle-Eastern teenager turns out to be someone of importance, and has a special request for our young aviator; she would like Beauregard to show his Pedal-Powered-Umbrella to her father. It is somewhat unexpected when Beauregard and his parents learn that her father lives in Saudi Arabia.
On their way to the Middle East, one thing leads to another. While their jet is refueling in Amsterdam, Beauregard takes it upon himself to help recover some stolen goods, as only he and his PPU can. Then, if that wasn't enough, Beauregard finds himself up to his ears in more adventure after arriving in Jeddah on the Red Sea. This time the action involves a magnificent Arabian stallion and would-be horse thieves with a devious plan.
How will our little hero rescue the stallion and save the day? Will he find a happy ending in spite of a gang of would be rustlers? And what on Earth do his ill-fitting shorts have to do with all of this action?

I live in a little hobbit hole at the bottom of a steep hill. It would be the perfect place to float down if I had a large enough umbrella. If I floated too far I'd land in the ocean and that would be just fine on a hot day.The Twirlybirch family first showed up in Saudi Arabia while I was spending a few hot and dusty years in Jeddah. I plan to continue telling Twirlybirch tales since it seems like a worthwhile pastime. Beauregard and Sparkle Snowflake deserve to have their stories told and I'm the only one who knows them.

Chapter One
At the Water Park
The Twirlybirch family was thrilled to be with Beauregard at the Victoria Airport. Beauregard was even more excited than his parents, his Auntie Gertrude and his little sister Sparkle Snowflake. He was heading off on a new adventure and could hardly wait to get going!
Like many of his adventures, Beauregard’s upcoming flight was the result of an incredible set of circumstances. A few months ago his dear little sister Sparkle Snowflake had accidentally invented the pass-time of 'floating' under a big umbrella. The activity had become really popular, and this led to crowds of excited boys and girls who came daily to Auntie Gertrude’s to float down the gigantic hill behind her home. That was where Beauregard and Sparkle Snowflake lived with their parents and Auntie Gertrude.
Shortly after their floating business began, Beauregard invented the PPU which was a pedal powered umbrella, or a floating umbrella with a propeller on top. The PPU could be peddled so it could take off and fly. Following his incredible invention, Beauregard had entered a contest where the contestants had to use their own power to fly from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver Island, B.C., a distance of fifteen miles.
Even though Beauregard didn’t win, he came in 2nd by a nose. Right after the race finished he became something of an overnight sensation. In the next two weeks Beauregard was interviewed by two television stations as well as 3 radio stations. There had even been a flurry of articles written about him in newspapers and magazines.
Back when Beauregard had been training for that big race, Auntie Gertrude came up with the idea of getting a patent for Beauregard’s PPU. Then Auntie Gertrude’s good friend Philamina Whittleknicker had taken the patent for the PPU and started
