The Prophecies of Paracelsus - andrew gordon frew
Dr. Paracelsus
INTRODUCTION
THEOPHRASTUS BAUMBAST VON HOHENHEIM, the famous Alchemist, Physician, Occultist and Mystic was born on the 10th November, 1493, at Sihlbrücke, near Einsiedeln, Canton Schwyz, and died on the 24th September, 1541, at Salzburg. He shortened his name to Paracelsus, the name meaning greater than or beyond Celsus, the encyclopedist Aulus Cornelius Celsus circa 1st century.
He was born to German and Swiss parents. His father Wilhelm Bombast von Hohenheim worked as a chemist and Physcian for the cloister. He taught his son theology and humanism. At the age of 16 he entered the University of Basel, Vienna. He obtained his doctorate in medicine in 1515. He went on to establish the role of chemistry in medicine. He was a great believer in the natural healing process and made many observations of the effects of natural processes on healing. He believed that man (microscosm) was influenced by nature (macrocosm) both being entertwined and insepprable. He made many enermies in the scholastic schools whose main ideology was based on the writings of the ancients who in tern based there medications on the four humours. Paracelsus disagreed with this whole approach, being the first to develop toxicology, the use of poisons in the healing process.
This work deals with the Prophecies of Paracelsus these prophecies apparently cover a period of 24 or 42 years, both numbers are given and apparently they are an obscuration since they are numbers set forth in the green language the occultists language, therefore the number of years could be 420 and would cover a period from the death of Paracelsus in 1541 and its fulfilment in 1961. In reference to this final date PARACELSUS, in the eighth chapter of his Treatise on Metals,
states:
And it is true, there is nothing concealed which shall not be discovered; for which cause a marvellous being shall come after me, who as yet lives not, and who shall reveal many things.
His prophecies are set out in thirty-two figurines, with his prognostications included for each figure.
