About this ebook
Loretta Haigler
Hi, my name is Loretta, and I thank God I don’t look like what I have been through! And where I started from is not where I’m gonna finish! I’m the mother of three beautiful girls, all of whom everybody thought wouldn’t amount to anything because of who I was. But how many know when God saves one, he saves the family. I’m still a work in progress; he is not finished with me yet. I take care of my mother, who had a massive stroke, and my prayer daily is that the Lord will let her last days be her best days. Step by step he has taken me from the projects to my palace. I pray that everyone who reads this book can see just how merciful the Lord is. He is able to give you back everything that was taken from you. He has restored me mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially. If he did it for me, he can do it for you. May God bless you!

Part 1
Part 2
I would love to acknowledge and express my gratitude to the Holy Spirit who has brought all things back to my remembrance. To the Father and the Son who are truly the head of my life and because of the Trinity I am able to live my life inside of the light. To my three beautiful daughters Janet, Ashley, and Brittney who I love with everything that I am and in spite of all that I went through, they never judged me or looked at me without love and because of that, it made me want more for them than I wanted for myself. To my mother Janet who has been my sounding board, I thank her for the life and the love she gives me and for being there even when she didn’t have to be. To my grandmother and my father who I know are looking down and watching over me saying I knew you could do it.
I dedicate this book to all of the love that I have received from all of them, now I know that it was given so that I can give it back. May God bless you all!

M ama! Mama! I had another dream last night, Oh my Lord, here she goes again, what is it this time
? I dreamt a lady came in and sprayed our food I don’t want to eat my food No! I’m not eatin this Mama! Girl there is nothing wrong with that food, you better eat that food I’m not playing with you, eat every bit of it
! I am not eating this. Down the toilet this goes!
Hurry up and get ready so we can leave, you always so slow! I need you to hurry up so that I’m not late for work again, come on ya’ll, get your stuff for school
.
Something just doesn’t seem right this morning. Boy what’s the matter with you
? I don’t feel so good Mama my stomach hurts

. My teacher is calling me wonder what she wants? Could you come here Retta, they need to see you in the office
. Why what did I do? I don’t know but they want to see you
! This is a slow walk to the principal’s office, Retta! You have to go home, get your things your mother is coming to get you and your brother he is not feeling well, he needs to see a doctor, here comes your mother now

. Mama I don’t want to go. Mama said girl you are going to make me mad you’re going to school and that’s final
. By this time my mind was made up I wasn’t going! I was going to leave school, that’s the first time I felt like playing hooky.
Once again, in fourth grade I had another scary feeling in my stomach I can’t get rid of it, all of a sudden here comes the school bully and her friends calling me out. They want to fight! Here I go grabbing the first one I get my hands on, blocking out every hit and kick, they are pulling my hair and punching me from the back, but I don’t feel a thing and I’m not letting go of the one I got! The more they hit me the more I hit her, she’s yellin to her friends help me
but I can’t stop. It’s like something on the inside of me has a hold of me and I can’t control it. Suddenly I hear Retta let her go everybody yellin at me, let her go
but I can’t! The teacher grabs me everybody starts runnin blood everywhere now I am the one in trouble! Darn how did this happen? Another slow walk to the principal’s office, Retta I have to call your mother
