A business plan for a start-up to introduce Tesla solar power to the households in Sri Lanka, for charging electric vehicles without using the electricity from the national grid
1.2 Rationale
The dynamics of transport in Sri Lanka is undergoing a phase of transformation with the public transport services being overtaken by the personal vehicles in urban areas (Adrian, Murray & Yasawachii, 2011). More than hundred thousand motor cars have been registered only during the year 2015 in Sri Lanka (Central Bank of Sri Lanka, 2015).
