Drainage and cultivation of the Orinoco Delta
()
About this ebook
Due to the horizontality of the plain and the overabundance of land, a huge waterway can be built, always on the 100-meter coast. If it was 1 km wide and the levees were 10 meters high on the bottom of the bed, it could output 10,000 m3, a much higher figure. But it could be perfectly 2 km or 3 km wide. The width does not matter. It is not a channel in peneplain territory, which must be narrowed.
On the contrary, in the middle of the horizontal plain, what matters is that the dikes are kept at a constant height and that the bottom of the bed maintains a minimum slope for the water to flow. In this sense, the work does not present any difficulties and is perfectly feasible.
With respect to the Orinoco, the problem is extremely simple: it is a colossal work, but the result is that which can be derived from the distribution of 5,000 m3 / s of water for irrigation. They are 100 million hectares; in reality, between 100 and 150. The region would become one of the great granaries of the World. In turn, it would be able to absorb large masses of population, relieving social tensions in the countries of the area. This region would have an exit to the sea directly, outside the mouth of the Orinoco. I would be in depression between the mountains of Caracas and those of Cumana.
Juan Sanz Sanz
Historiador y escritor. English: Historian and writer Self-taught, Juan Sanz Sanz (1943-2019), devoted himself, from early youth, to unravelling the problems posed by the readings of historical events narrated by the various authors who frequently diverged from each other. Geography was one of his great hobbies and reason for fervent study, not existing on the planet place, no matter how remote it was, that had not been fully informed. The attentive follow-up of the social and political reality in which its existence took place resulted in proposals for water use on three continents and each of the projects was sent in its day to the places that were most suitable for its achievement. Languages - French, English, Italian, Portuguese and German, in addition to his own, Spanish - had no secrets for him and thus he could fully enjoy the literature written on them, another hobby in which, as an enlightened man, he found his peers. In early youth the Spanish guitar and later the piano, were musical instruments to which he dedicated a great effort similar to the passion that the music awoke in him and thus, in maturity, with authentic devotion and delicacy, he interpreted beautiful pieces of Bach , Chopin, Debussy and Beethoven who contributed a lot to make their days more human and the passage of time milder. In addition to the Water Projects, it leaves many literary works almost ready to publish, something that will be sought in the public light.

Drainage and cultivation of the Orinoco Delta

In memoriam
Clarification:
In 1984, after years of thorough studies, calculations and checks, Juan Sanz Sanz (1943 - 2019), made known, by mail and in a personal capacity, to the highest instance of the country his conclusions; then it seemed the most suitable of the ways so that its evaluation and the possible implementation of the ideas it provided would not be delayed.
The baggage provided by his wisdom, due to the depth of the immersion he did for decades in Geography and History, together with the careful observation of how much was happening in those years throughout the Planet, then gave the spoiled Author the necessary momentum.
It is good to
