About this ebook

A broken down car in a snowstorm, a cabin in the middle of nowhere, a dad with his newborn baby, and the start of a romance that could last forever.

Jamie's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere in a snowstorm. The only hope there is for Jamie and his baby daughter, Grace, is to follow a light leading them to a cabin half hidden in the forest. What they find is a grumpy author in isolation and very little in the way of help.

Lucas never asked for company, particularly a hot guy and his tiny, demanding, daughter. Their arrival brings chaos and destroys his peace and he has no idea what to do. But when lust turns to more he fights the need to kiss his guest.

Lucas knows that Jamie will be leaving soon so what is the point in handing over his heart?

I normally like this author's book, but this one was a bust.
I thought since it's Christmas themed it would be heart warming, I was sorely wrong.

Chapter One

I was in the middle of a dream when he arrived at my door.

A very nice dream with a satisfying climax, and none of that regular dream crap like running from a nameless something chasing you. There was no flying or falling in my sleep, just a slow, easy sex scene with a guy who looked a lot like Ryan Reynolds.

The only way I would’ve ever met Ryan was if one of my books was optioned for a movie. Let’s face it though, the market for horror had peaked and I doubted anyone would have been interested in my kind of stories. Shame, because the concept of meeting Ryan was one I liked to hold close to me.

Still, the orgasm was nice, and was only ruined by the slamming of something heavy against my head, or my door, or the wall or something. It woke me up, and I didn’t want to wake up. I was a long way past irritable and right on to pissed the hell off.

When I identified the banging as someone at my door I dressed, ready for action. Only one person knew I was there, my agent, who also happened to be the ex who didn’t look anything like Ryan Reynolds. The single reason said agent/ex would come here to the middle of Nowhere, Vermont, was to push me for more.

More words. More scenes. More books.

I picked up the baseball bat from Mickey’s room, a throwback to when my brother and I had shared the smaller room as kids. One of many reminders my parents liked to keep in this wood and stone cabin that they used in the summer months. I swear, if it was my agent, Joseph, at the door, then he was going to get a bat to his head, before I buried him in the snow. They wouldn’t find him until spring, and by then I’d have left the
