Its massive importance lies on the fact that the word of God is plain and clear about His commands, warnings and promises with regards to the Holy Spirit's Ministry in the last days. It is of utmost importance to know that the Holy Spirit is essential to our salvation, in conquering sin and defeating our enemy. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot do much in our evangelism.

    About the Author

    About the Publisher

This book is for all of my friends out there who belong to different churches having the same foundation in our faith in Christ Jesus. I believe I am accountable to share my insights and experiences to clear my conscience as well as to double my joy in the revelation of truth found in the scriptures. You may not agree with me in everything. But just take it or leave it. I'm only a spokesman of God, not a man pleaser. May this book open your mind and soul. And may you grow in grace and in the power of God as you come to know Him more and more. And may your peace and joy be fully realized what is freely given in the new covenant, in particular, the Gift or the Person of the Holy Spirit. All Glory and Honor belong to Him who sits on the throne amen.

The Holy Spirit; The Forgotten God by Cyril T. Sumagaysay

    Chapter 1

My personal testimony. If you don’t read this, I’m not accountable anymore. This will turn your world upside down. Acts 1:8 says But you will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Question: Is this power only for the apostles? NO. In the house of Cornelius, we read in Acts 10: 44-46 while Peter was still speaking these words the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT had been poured out even in the Gentiles, for they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.

Question: Is it no longer applicable for us today? Yes, it is also for us. Read Acts 2:38 Peter replied Repent and be baptized (with water) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and you shall receive the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (as in acts 10:44-46). The promise is for you and your children and ALL (that’s us) who are far off whom the Lord our God will call.

I was baptized in the Spirit April 17, 1980 under Ben Pinedas ministry. I was baptized in the water much later in April 3, 1989 by pastor Onesimus Tuanson. Is it scriptural? Yes. Baptism of the water is found in Mark 16:16 but baptism of the Spirit is in Mathew 3:11. The baptizer is Jesus not the pastor. Read Acts 10:47-48 Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Spirit just as we have. There are two different things that can be done in two different times. I hope this is clear now. I advise you to gather your church members my dear pastors and together ask for the outpouring of His Spirit with power. Wait on God for it. If nothing happens, continue and never stop. Ask for forgiveness. And be patient because He will never fail you if you believe.

    WHAT IS IT FOR ME?

If I’m a reader of this book I would ask, what is it for me? Why should I read this book? This book is not to entertain but to give a double edged sword warning. It does two things both of which are positive, not negative. We know that justice of God has levels or it’s not justice at all. Just as there are levels of punishment in hell, there are levels of rewards in heaven. Now, since this book is for believers, in this book we only talk about levels of rewards in heaven. Here’s one truth to consider. Please read Romans 11:29, for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. What God has given you he can never revoked.  What God has given you has FINALITY in it. Another verse is found in Revelation 3:12, If you conquer, I will make you a pillar in the temple of my God; you will never go out of it... Now, here is the critical point. One edge of the sword is the finality of this reward whatever it is. The other edge is this. Your reward will be based on your obedience.

I’ll explain this through an analogy. But I’ll get the metaphor from 1 Corinthians 3: 12. Your reward will be based on your works defined by straw, hay, wood, precious stones, silver and gold. If they are straw, hay or wood, they would surely be burned. And that means you have no reward. You are in heaven. And that is alright. But that will be who you are PERMANENTLY. There is no more room for improvement in heaven when it comes to reward given based on your earthly life. There is no reincarnation in Christian doctrines. So, if you are rewarded corresponding to that of precious stones, that will be who you are FOREVER. Remember that God’s gift is irrevocable. NO return, NO exchange. It is good that you are reading this book because you are still alive on this planet. And you have the chance to improve on your reward. And remember that the reward is based on obedience.

In this book, I will narrow down the topic on obedience based on the fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I saw that the key to whole system of God is the Holy Spirit. And the disobedience of believers is recorded in the scriptures right from the very beginning just before the birth of the Church in Acts chapter 2. Please read Luke 24:49. Jesus before His ascension said, "And see, I am sending upon you what my
